In the course you will learn how to compose a photograph correctly, capture interesting images from a holiday, family celebration or an interesting portrait. For the course, it is necessary to have your own camera, whether a DSLR or a mobile phone. In the course, we will teach you technical knowledge of controlling your camera so that you can use settings in different lighting conditions or in motion.

Camera Setup
- introduction of basic camera modes with a focus on semi-automatic modes basic differences when shooting in automatic and semi-automatic modes introduction to the concepts aperture, shutter speed, ISO setting white balance using preset modes difference between jpg and raw format - focus on jpg format camera setup during the day, evening, shooting portrait, sport, macro photography
Introduction to Composition
- basic principles of composition - golden ratio arrangement of elements in the image expressing mood in photography, capturing atmosphere placing the object in the environment
Introduction to Working with Light
- basic forms of lighting (patterns of one-light lighting) specifics of outdoor photography (direct light, backlight, partial shade, shade) use of external light source (candle, lamp, fluorescent lamp, built-in flash, reflector) checking correct exposure (histogram), use of compensation
Technical Equipment
- basic types of lenses - wide-angle lenses, portrait lenses, telephoto lenses differences between fixed focal length and zoom lens definition of the term basic lens concept of megapixels - impact on image quality difference in sensor sizes in cameras (mobile phone versus professional DSLR)
Image Evaluation and Discussion
- selection of the best photographs, image evaluation, questions and answers - discussion, evaluation of composition, exposure, camera settings, atmosphere recommendations for image editing - contrast, color saturation, cropping
