Kurz INTERCONNECTING CISCO NETWORKING DEVICES 1 (ICND1) je určený administrátorom počítačových sietí postavených na smerovačoch a prepínačoch firmy Cisco. Je vhodný ako časť prípravy na priemyselnú certifikačnú skúšku CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician), resp. CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate). Absolvent kurzu získa základné teoretické vedomosti o smerovaní paketov a prepínaní rámcov v počítačových sieťach. Nadobudne najmä praktické zručnosti s konfiguráciou smerovačov, prepínačov a konkrétnych sieťových technológií v prostredí príkazového riadka operačného systému Cisco IOS.
